Peak House

Peak House is a voluntary, ten-week, live-in, treatment program for youth experiencing problems with drugs, including alcohol. We operate within the harm reduction spectrum with a trauma informed, client centered, and social justice framework.

Established in 1988 by Pacific Youth and Family Services Society, the program serves youth from across British Columbia who, due to the serious nature of their substance misuse, require a more intensive level of service than can be provided in their home community.

Peak House is accredited (CARF) and licensed.

The first two weeks of the program has been designed to provide a safe, less intensive environment where youth and staff can assess the youth’s readiness to participate fully in the highly structured, intensive, eight-week treatment and aftercare phase.

We welcome clients from all walks of life, cultural backgrounds, sexual orientations and genders/gender expressions. There is no tolerance for racism, homophobia, classism, transphobia, or any other form of discrimination at Peak House. We pride ourselves on being a safe and inclusive environment.

Peak House is a suitable treatment option for youth with the willingness to get back on track with their lives. We do not offer detox services, we ask that clients abstain from substance use for a minimum of seven days prior to entering the program.
