Cancer Information Service (CIS) provides accurate, comprehensive and easy-to-understand information on all cancers and community cancer-related services and resources by toll-free telephone 1 888-939-3333 or online at cancer.ca.

CIS is more than a helpline. Trained information specialists provide the most up-to-date information in a supportive manner that is easy to understand. Inquiries cover many other topics, such as clinical trials, managing pain and side effects, nutrition, complementary and alternative therapies.

CIS is tailored to provide cancer information and services relevant to local communities across Canada in English and French as well as with interpretation available in over 100 languages. There is an extensive selection of cancer publications, many of which have been translated to meet the needs of multicultural communities.
