Mamele'awt Queesome & To'o Housing Society
Mamele’awt Qweesome Housing Society (MQHS) is a non-profit Urban Aboriginal Housing Society that develops, manages and administers a wide range of subsidized housing options and support programs for those most in need within the Fraser Valley. MQHS has evolved from a grassroots organization meeting the on-the-ground needs of rural-to-urban Aboriginal peoples to a cutting-edge leader who has grown beyond bricks and mortar to embrace a holistic approach to meeting the needs of our community. With strong leadership, we continue to build towards self-sufficiency and independence while positioning ourselves as an innovative leader in social housing in BC.
Our Vision
Mamele’awt Qweesome Housing Society will be recognized as a sustainable housing provider, managed by a caring and competent team, building a better tomorrow for the people.
Our Mission
Mamele’awt Qweesome Housing Society provides affordable housing and support services primarily for Aboriginal people in the Fraser Valley in a way that ensures tenant safety, empowers self-determination and the honouring of healthy agreements.
How We Help
“MORE THAN JUST HOUSING”
MQHS provides affordable housing and support services primary for Aboriginal people in the Fraser Valley in a way that ensures tenant safety, empowers self-determination and the honouring of healthy agreements.
While the vital human need for shelter has always been our main focus, we strongly believe that easily accessible additional services—healthcare, childcare, education—are a necessary part of the path to self-determination. A holistic approach to housing creates sustainable communities and empowered citizens, benefiting everyone.
