Do you need someone to talk to?

Has life become overwhelming?
Are you thinking about suicide?
Are you unsure about what to do?
Do you need help sorting things out?

You can call the crisis line about anything that is causing you concern, worry or distress. Examples might be suicide thoughts or feelings, mental health problems, addiction issues, family violence, abuse, relationship conflicts, loss, or just plain loneliness.

What does the Crisis Line provide?

We provide immediate, free, and confidential emotional support, crisis intervention and community resource information to people of all ages 24 hours a day – everyday. Our services, which include response to those who call 1800SUICIDE and 310Mental Health Support, are delivered by skilled volunteers who have successfully completed a rigorous training program.


What will happen when I call the Crisis Line?

When you call the crisis line you will be:

  • Invited to talk about the situation and your associated feelings and concerns
  • Helped to identify and explore options that might be helpful to you and your situation
  • Assisted in sorting out what you might do to manage the situation and increase your ability to cope with it
  • Offered information about other available community services that might be helpful to you.

Fact: After calling the crisis line callers often report they feel less isolated or alone and are better able to cope.


What areas does the Crisis Line serve?

All communities within the Fraser Health Region: Burnaby, New Westminster, Coquitlam, Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows, White Rock, South Surrey, Delta, Surrey, Langley, Abbotsford, Mission, Chilliwack, Hope and Agassiz.
