Our History and Information
Your Pregnancy Options (formerly known as The Fraser Valley Pregnancy Centre) is a non-denominational Christian organization that was started in Aldergrove in 1990 for the purpose of providing tangible support to people in the community facing an unplanned pregnancy. Today, we provide free pregnancy tests, peer counselling, community referrals, and supplies to support youth, women, and men.
The Fraser Valley Crisis Pregnancy Society operates the Centre. The society is a non-profit charitable organization registered with Revenue Canada for the purpose of issuing tax-deductible receipts. The society is governed by a Board of Directors which consists of various professionals and business owners from the community. The Centre is staffed by trained volunteers under the supervision of a director.
Client Care Commitment
- Clients are served without regard to age, race, income, nationality, religious affiliation, disability or other arbitrary circumstances.
- Clients are treated with kindness, compassion, and in a caring manner.
- Clients always receive honest and open answers without coercion.
- Client pregnancy tests are distributed and administered in accordance with all applicable laws.
- Client information is held in strict and absolute confidence. Client information is only disclosed as required by law, when necessary to protect the client or others against imminent harm.
- Clients receive accurate information about pregnancy, fetal development, lifestyle issues, and related concerns.
- We do not offer, recommend or refer for abortions or abortifacients, but we are committed to offering accurate information about abortion procedures and risks.
- All of our advertising and communications are truthful and honest and accurately describe the services we offer.
- All of our staff and volunteers receive proper training to uphold these standards.
