Mission Better at Home provides non-medical services to assist seniors with simple day-to-day tasks so they can continue to live independently in their own homes and stay connected to their communities. Better at Home is funded by the Province of British Columbia and managed by the United Way of the Lower Mainland.more info
Home Health - Mission
Home Health provides health care and personal support services to clients in their homes, at clinics and at other community locations. The philosophy of care is to promote well-being, dignity and independence. Home Health meets a wide range of health care needs – for example nursing care after surgery, education on how to manage a chronic health condition, relief for a family member or friend serving as caregiver, care for those at the end of life. Providing information needed to make decisions about lifestyle and care, Home Health complements but does not replace the efforts of individuals to care for themselves with the help of family, friends and community. The Home Health Team is comprised of nurses, rehabilitation therapists, social workers and community health workers. more info
Seniors Connection - Medical Transportation
Transportation to medical appointments are available to seniors. Screened volunteers provide transportation services from Mission to as far east as Chilliwack and as far west as Vancouver.more info
